Axelle Renoir

Axelle Renoir is a French singer from Brittany. She has released three studio albums and composed the soundtrack of two French films.

Biography and career

Axelle Renoir was born in 1969 in Josselin. As a teenager, she studied at the Conservatoire de Rennes for three years. She entered a competition organized by the television channel M6 and won the first prize of the new Talents M6.

She then signed her first album with Warner in 1995, Magnum mornings and dancing, which she composed all the music but almost no lyrics. The album is accompanied by the single Lulu and the album sold 30,000 copies. That same year, she performed a duet on the radio with Nicola Sirkis's group Indochina, "God is a Havana smoker" (Gainsbourg Deneuve and recovery).

A second single appeared, The court Big, followed by silence, I turn around. A tour was organized in France via Paris, and in 1996 she was nominated for Victoires de la Musique as Newcomer of the Year, but StephenD won the prize.

Two years later, in 1998, she released her second album, Rose, which she composed music and wrote the vast majority of the lyrics, accompanied by the author Sylvie Bonnet and some lyricss of Janco's.

In May 2003 she released her third studio album, calledThe Beach. A single was released:I'll be there for yousong pop / rock sugar, which sold less than 10,000 copies. She performs in concert at the European (Paris) May 13, and is the first part of concerts Etienne Daho and Luz Casal. In 2004 she composed the soundtrack of Oliver Marshall36 Quai des silversmiths.

In 2005 she produced and co-produced the album Luka.

In 2007, in accordance with Nicolas Hulot, it composes an album UshuaiaNatureon the preservation of nature.

In 2009, she made the cover album of Sarah Mac Lachlan played by Thierry Amiel.
